My Story
From Crash to Course: Building a New Career in Real Estate
Rewind to 2004, the real estate boom was in full swing, and I was riding the wave. But like many others, 2008's crash hit hard. We nearly lost everything – our home, our car, even the foundation of our marriage. It was a brutal wake-up call, leaving me wondering what was next.
Looking back, that darkness became my turning point. Fueled by a desire to not just recover, but to make a difference, I developed a clear plan and dove back in headfirst. The result? "It's Up To You! Academy!", founded in 2019.
Why real estate education? Witnessing the struggles of aspiring agents – the confusion, the intimidation – resonated deeply. I knew there was a better way. So, I created an engaging, supportive learning environment that shattered the mold of traditional pre-licensing courses.
Now, our comprehensive program, including the 75-HR Pre-license course and preparatory components, continuing education and specialty training empowers not only the newcomers, but seasoned agents alike.
